Team Established in 2017

"We are a team made up of ten students from Vandegrift High School in Austin, Texas. This is our sixth year as a team and we are a part of the ViperBots organization, which consists of ten FTC teams and one FRC team. Our team has a boy to girl ratio of four to six, and a rookie to veteran ratio of two to eight. We are composed of one freshman, one sophomore, four juniors, and four seniors. As a team, we are eager to gain knowledge and experience in STEM fields while also exemplifying and spreading Gracious Professionalism and the core values of FIRST."

We strive to maintain a culture of integrity and cooperation within our team and in our everyday lives while spreading the values of FIRST through outreach to those in our school, community, and world."

HARDWARE GOALS: Our Hardware Team's goal to create and innovate a high quality, effective robot that shows continuous growth through our peformances each AML competition this year. As teammates, we strongly believe that with great team communication, building strong relationships amongst each other, and properly meeting our hardware deadlines we'll be able to grow as individuals and as a team.

SOFTWARE GOALS: Our software team is passionate about bringing our robot into motion, through coding alongside hardware to allow the robot to score multiple cycles, and to be able to bring a successful performance each game.

MARKETING GOALS: Through a National, International, and Local perspective, we want to highlight STEM Advocacy to underrepresented communities through organizations such as GirlStart and Global Impacts Initiative. We want to make sure that STEM across the nation is suitable and accessible to all no matter any difficult factors people may experience.
